ABOUT US
Coosa is a full-service interior and architectural design studio led by John Maloney McNamara. Reflecting John’s creative lineage — spanning fashion, packaging, branding, and interiors — the studio fuses editorial sharpness with lived-in warmth.
Grounded in the American Southwest and informed by Mexican Modernism, Coosa’s work is defined by clarity, tactility, and a strong sense of place. John studied interior architecture and interior design at the University of California, Los Angeles and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Based in Las Vegas, the studio works on projects across the country.
Coosa partners with clients at three levels: ground-up construction, comprehensive home renovations, and fully realized interior furnishing projects.
For hourly design guidance, Coosa offers consulting sessions virtually or in person.
NEW CONSTRUCTION
We collaborate with architects and builders from the earliest stages of design. From spatial planning and material selections to custom millwork, lighting, and furnishings, we guide every interior decision so the home feels cohesive, intentional, and deeply considered from the ground up.
RESIDENTIAL RENOVATIONS
For homes that need rethinking rather than rebuilding, we lead comprehensive interior renovations. Whether opening floor plans, redesigning kitchens and baths, or reworking circulation and built-ins, we manage the design direction in partnership with your contractor to transform how the home functions and feels.
FURNISHINGS
For clients who don’t require construction, we design fully layered interiors through furnishings, custom upholstery, vintage sourcing, lighting, textiles, and art. These projects focus on creating depth, character, and comfort within the existing architecture.
